There’s more to writing on the web than just that. Here are some tips to being a great digital media writer or simply said, someone who writes on the web!
1) The CONTENT of your post are in your fingers..
There are couple of things to consider when writing a post that makes people remember you by. Your headlines have to capture the attention of your readers in just seconds.
Your readers are everything. When you embark on this journey, make sure your posts are sensitive and reader-friendly. Writing on the web is not just about you and your feelings anymore!
Writing in point forms will help you to organize your contents easier. Readers will also be able to understand the message that you are trying to convey. Include some pictures in your post, as too much words will zone your readers off! The topic of your content also have to be relatable to your target audience. Make sure you know what they want so that they won’t leave you!

2) Pretty Pretty outlook!
The overall look and feel of your blog should be relatable to your blog’s theme. It must be able to convey the message of how you want to target your target audience. It should not have a lot of white space but neither should it be cluttered with words and information everywhere. Observe where and how the readers read. People tend to read in an ’F’ shape so be sure to use that to your advantage! Colours play a huge part in engaging your readers. Have a standard few colours for your blog and do not go out of the colour scheme. Do not choose colours that are not suitable for the background also. This is very important because it may turn the readers away.
3) Make it short and clickable.
We all hate whenever someone writes a post and there is suddenly a url of a video included in the whole paragraph. For example -----> http://hungrycheapskates.weebly.com/
It looks really out of place doesn’t it? It looks hideous and plain weird. So to make it all pleasant t the eye, create a hyperlink. It makes your post flow very smoothly and it doesn’t really look unpleasant to the eye. For example, “Hey guys, if you love food, check out our blog here!
See, it doesn’t destroy the flow of your sentence, and its embedded into one single word, which is the word ‘here’. It pretty simple guys. Just get the url, and create a link on the word you want them to click on. But the one thing to keep in mind is to make sure the link is not broken and it is of relevance to whatever it is you want your readers to refer to.

4) Have an additional boost!
We all need a little help once in awhile, don’t we? And one of the best way to get help is from having widgets! They help us to gather our readers and encourages them to help us, spread awareness of us and our work via these widgets. So it is really important to have the relevant widgets because they can break or make you! One of the most popular ones would be Twitter and Facebook, tapping on these can really help you to close the ‘gap’ between you and your readers.
So get the links from the relevant host and link them up in your blog. Remember that these links HAVE to be working and you’re good to go! Oh yes, remember to also mention about the various widgets you’ve used so that readers would be able to share them.
